In 2012 Winfield Studio launched Hue Collection; a new furniture line using vitreous porcelain enamel.
Vitreous porcelain enamel is a mixture of molten glass, clay, and pigment that is permanently bonded onto steel at very high kiln temperatures—1400 to 1500 degrees Fahrenheit—to form a one-of-a-kind glossy finish.
Porcelain enamel is a remarkable material with a long history and reputation for durability and vibrant color fastness. Enamel has many amazing properties: it is a smooth, hard, chemically resistant, scratch resistant (same as glass), with long-lasting color fastness, and a easy-to-clean surface.
The rich porcelain enamel tops are subtly complimented and supported by hand-crafted solid wood or metal bases. Clients can customize each piece to meet individual needs.
While we maintain a large library of pre-formulated colors, we can also formulate custom colors for design requirements.
